Answer: For training porpoises

It makes you wonder when you call customer support and have your call recorded for "training" or "quality assurance" purposes. Either the company doesn't trust its phone operators or they might really be wanting to record you instead. In either case, I had plenty of time on hold, and this seemed punworthy.

Explanation for the kids (and bad puns)

Dealing with a help desk or customer support on the phone isn't most people's idea of fun, so it would be a lot more enjoyable to imagine that "training purposes" was really training the animals porpoises. Ironically though, porpoises aren't as easily trained as their dolphin cousins.
